Frequenty Asked Questions:
What happens in an appointment?
All appointments will start with a chat about why you made your appointment, when your issue started/how it is progressing. In your initial appointment there will be some further questions about your health history so that your osteopath can provide the most appropriate treatment. After this chat, you will be assessed, your osteopath will perform some tests, assess your movement and palpate your body in order to diagnose what is going on.
Then we treat! Typically treatment involves a combination of hands on techniques including massage, stretching, manipulation and joint articulation/mobilisation. All techniques will be explained to you in detail during your session. At the end we’ll finish with a chat about how to best look after yourself at home, what to expect in the coming days and whether or not further treatment or invetsigation is required.
